There are very few things that can create an aroma that rivals that of homemade bread as it is baking. The scent of homemade bread brings back fond memories for many of spending the day in grandma’s kitchen helping her bake.CBH_ScattyChef_0374bread dough courtesy of BeverlyLR

What better way to kick off the New Year than by baking a delicious batch of homemade bread for the family. Getting into the habit of trying a new recipe each week is an ideal way to start the year off right!

This week’s tip is a simple way to add a little zest to your homemade bread:  Add a handful of dried herbs or fresh chopped rosemary, tarragon  or sage to the dough for extra flavour.

Quite frankly, nothing really rivals the taste of fresh, homemade bread straight from the oven.  Pairing herb bread with Veloute Of Celeriac Soup makes for a delightful combination.

By adding a little extra flavour, you can easily turn your ordinary bread recipe into something extraordinary. Speaking of extraordinary, consider  making more wonderful memories in the kitchen with my bespoke gourmet vacation experience at La Ferme de la Lochere.
