I love this time of year and I especially love making fruit jelly, preserves and syrups. All these fruits came from my neighbours garden. I’m even making ‘Cassis’ and ‘Ratafia’ but that takes a few months to mature. If I don’t drink it first!
I’m especially looking forwards to trying the blackcurrants in a light lemon verbena syrup. I don’t usually have a sweet tooth, but the amount of sugar is minimum and the colour super intense.
Enjoyed with warm Lemon Drizzle Cake made with polenta and Fromage Blanc Ice-cream could be a plan!
